Theatre Wedding - Kings Hall, Ilkley

This Kings Hall Theatre Wedding was held back in May on the wettest day of the year! The weather doesn’t matter though when you have a venue as awesome as this!

Theatre weddings are so cool! Your name in big lights (literally), your nearest and dearest as the audience and whole love story playing in front of everyone. We can’t think of a better wedding venue to have than a theatre wedding.

This story of Rik + Hannah’s was full of music, colour, laughter and love.

Rik and the guys got ready in the dressing rooms at the Kings Hall while Hannah and the girls got glammed up at her parents house before stepping onto a lovely vintage bus to travel to the Venue. I think everyone was truly taken amazed at how the theatre looked for the ceremony. The story unrolled in front of our eyes and consisted of singing and smiles. Hannah, Rik and the wedding party armed with fizz in hands headed off for a spin around Ilkley Moor on the bus like something out of Summer Holiday but without the Sun. We were supposed to depart and eat ice cream at the cow and Calf but it was too wet, but it didn’t matter.

We made use of the great theatre wedding space at the Kings Hall and Winter Gardens and made some lovely images. Two fingers to the British Weather because we didn’t need you! ner ner, ner ner ner.

As the day moved into night things got a little bit epic…. This was probably the busiest and craziest dance floor we have ever witnessed at a wedding EVER. The band were brilliant, everyone got involved and danced like they had never danced before! The room was literally rocking as the winter gardens has a sprung dance floor. a VERY weird experience but it all added to the party atmosphere.
