Ashleigh + John's Cressbrook Hall Wedding

Buxton Wedding

This gorgeous Buxton Wedding started at St.Augustine’s Church in Sheffield followed by a gorgeous wedding reception in the heart of the Peak District at Cressbrook Hall. It was our first visit to Cressbrook Hall wedding venue and we were blown away by it’s beauty. The winding, sweeping roads of the Peak District led to this stunning venue which was surrounded by snow-covered hills.

We started the morning with champagne for the girls and good coffee for the boys (John knows how to make a bloody good coffee). The bride and groom prep was relaxed and chilled. Just what we expected from Ash + John as they are so lovely and relaxing to be around.

Ashleigh arrived at the church wearing the cutest leather jacket, gorgeous dress, purple shoes and the most vibrant purple lippy we have ever seen. Hell YEAH to brides wearing purple lipstick! Once all the formalities were done in church, the first kiss was shared and A+J headed out of the church where they were covered in confetti by their lovely family and friends.

We took the short journey deeper into the Peak District to Cressbrook Hall. The stately house looked stunning as we made our way down the drive to the car park. Guests arrived on minibuses and streamed off the bus to grab their glass of champagne. People listened to the live music whilst we took close family, friends, Ashleigh and John for some pictures.

Ash + John were absolute TROOPERS. It rained throughout the whole couple shoot and you know what? We absolutely cannot thank them enough for that 15 mins in the rain. It can sometimes be a disappointment when the rain arrives on your wedding day but these guys totally embraced it!

The speeches were a very emotional part of the day. John had been very emotional all day which was just lovely to see but Ash seemed to be cool as a cucumber during the wedding until the speeches. Ash began her speech and the emotions really got her. It was beautiful to watch John climb the stairs and give her the biggest supportive hug ever! We love an equal marriage where the couples support each other and these guys certainly do!

Into the night they partied, everyone partied, got naughty in the photo booth, laughed, ate sweets, pizza slices and had a bloody good time!
