Hill Top Farm Tipi Wedding

Laura + Toby’s Hill Top Farm Tipi Wedding was held in Stockport on a beautiful summer’s day.

When Laura + Toby first contacted us we knew that we would have a great time with these guys and we weren’t wrong. They didn’t want a traditional wedding they wanted their wedding to be just a big party filled with fun, friends and family from all over the world.

Laura + Toby met while travelling. Laura a happy-go-lucky Northern girl and Toby a laid back, fun, New Zealander. There were guests from all over the world who travelled to see these two get hitched.

Toby got ready with the boys in Manchester City Centre whilst Laura got ready at an Airbnb house. They had an awesome VW Campervan which transported first the boys and then headed over across to collect the girls. The girls drank champers while on route to the Hill Top Farm Tipi Wedding venue.

An outdoor Humanist Ceremony

Laura + Toby opted for an outdoor humanist ceremony with a backdrop of fields and three tipis. Humanist ceremonies are by far our absolute favourites. They are so personal, real and you work with your celebrant to plan the perfect ceremony for you. After a morning of great fun preps with these two we all prayed that the weather would hold off. Bad rain was forecast at the time the ceremony was due to start. Someone was definitely looking over us all on this day because not a spot of rain fell.

After the ceremony the drinks flowed, garden games were played and a hog roast was devoured by all the guests. The cutest ice cream van arrived and everyone indulged in ice cream while chatting around the hay bales, others hit the grass for a good old game of Kubb and in general everyone was having a bloody great time.

Farm Wedding Portraits

For L+Ts wedding portraits we headed around the farm. Laura was an absolute trooper! She had the most terrible cold on her wedding day but she wasn’t going to let that spoil her day. She grabbed a handful of tissues and Lemsip in the morning a battled on throughout the day.

The wedding cake was cut in the usual manner but then Laura decided to splat a piece of it on Toby’s head. We didn’t laugh at all, actually we totally did 😉 These guys danced into the night. What we learnt from their day is that New Zealanders enjoy a good party and that is flippin’ awesome!
