We have so many weddings we need to share with you but we (ok Kelly) honestly doesn’t know where to start. It’s been so busy here at PJPHQ. We have been our out of wedding season time to look after a new puppy (Twiggy!) and spending as much time as possible with our daughter Fearne. That together with undertaking some much needed house renovations have meant we have reduced the amount of output on the blog. With the 2017 wedding season approaching and the big switch on of fibre broadband at PJPHQ (woop woop, that also happened over winter) we are now going to be getting our blog game on and we found it fitting to start with this Leeds Wedding.
A couple of months ago Caroline + Christian got married at Aspire In Leeds with the most lovely, chilled ceremony. It was a pleasure to photograph these guys as we could see how madly in love, relaxed and so easy going C+C are. Throughout the wedding ceremony they held each others hands, cuddled, glanced at each other and embraced. After the ceremony a few drinks and canapés we headed for couple portraits in the back streets of Leeds because city centre weddings need buildings, brick walls, cool alleyways and any kind of cool textures we can utilise for wedding photographs. What made it even more fun is that C+C love all that kind of background too and were excited to see the locations we took them to for their portraits!
On arrival back at Aspire there was a big old classic bus waiting to transport all the guests to the wedding reception venue New Craven Hall. New Craven Hall is a new wedding venue in Leeds and C+C’s wedding was the first to be held there! We feel privileged to have been the first to shoot there as it’s a really cool space and right up our street. It has a great industrial vibe. It also helped that we had the best couple to photograph and the most lovely wedding party too.
Shortly after arriving the waft of great wedding food drifted from the kitchen and the guests were treated to the delicious offerings by Hog and Apple wedding caterers. It wasn’t just good on the taste buds but also a fantastic visual experience with their smoking box dessert.
It was an amazing day and a wonderful wedding to kick off our 2017 wedding season. Thank you Caroline + Christian for booking us to shoot your wedding. It was brilliant from start to finish. Here are a selection of our favourites from the day.
