Yorkshire Indian Wedding
We were hoping to share with you our best of 2016 post next. Â Unfortunately, Paul and I have been ill. As a result, we will be posting this in the coming weeks so please do keep your eyes peeled. This Yorkshire Indian Wedding is first up!
Ahhhhh Natasha + Las. (We smile from ear to ear when we talk about these two) We have been looking forward to blogging this gorgeous Yorkshire Indian Wedding for some time. This fantastic wedding took place in August 2015. Â Most of all we still hold some of our fondest wedding memories from this day.
Natasha + Las are quite possibly the most fun, energetic and loving couple to be around.  (They have just had the most gorgeous baby too!) From the moment they first skyped us (over 2 hours of giggling and laughter), to meeting them in London for their love shoot to shooting their wedding at Scampston Hall.  We knew that these two would be one couple who we would talk about for the rest of our lives.
They gave us their complete trust on their wedding day.  We had never shot an Indian Wedding before and we are unbelievably grateful that they let us shoot their day.
We knew from many of our wedding industry friends how chaotic, colourful, long and fun it would be and it didn’t disappoint. Â Boy oh BOY it was truly an amazing experience.
Indian Wedding
A 7am start at Scampston Hall where a very excited Natasha and Nami (Natasha’s sister and best ever wedding planner) greeted us.  Paul was left with all the ladies while Kelly took a journey to meet Las and his wonderful family at a house just down the road.  The reason for the early start was because N+L were having three ceremonies in one day.
The first ceremony was a Sikh ceremony which was truly the most amazing and emotional ceremony we have witnessed. Â The thing we loved the most about this ceremony was how involved each and every person in the room was. Everyone was so attentive to what was happening, It was quite something.
The second ceremony was held outdoors in the grounds of Scampston Hall on their Palladian Bridge and what a truly wonderful way to hold the civil ceremony.
The third ceremony was the Buddhist ceremony. This was held outdoors and was again amazing to watch and so very different from the previous two ceremonies. Â We were led from the location of the first ceremony by the most sensational dancers banging away on their drums. Â They led us to the location of the third ceremony. Â It was so much fun to photograph everyone dancing and singing to the ceremony.
Between each ceremony Natasha + Las and all their wedding guests had full outfit changes. Â The colours were truly amazing.
Now we love dancing at a wedding and Holy Moly the dancing was off the charts!  Indian weddings are hands down the best dancers out there.  EVERYONE was on the dance floor and it was a real pleasure to watch all their family and friends having the best time.
This wedding was the longest wedding we have shot. Â From getting up in the morning to hitting the pillow in the evening. Â 20 hours and every single minute was packed full of fun and laughter.
N+L thank you so, so much for trusting us to shoot your amazing Scampston Hall Wedding day. Â Our first ever Indian Wedding. Â It was an absolutely amazing day and one that we will remember forever.
