It seems a lifetime ago since we very first met up with Jo and Nick over a Krispy Kreme donut and a coffee to discuss all things weddings.
Jo and Nick booked us 18 months before the wedding and in this time we became good friends.
When we were discussing the wedding Jo and Nick knew what they wanted and had a good vision of their wedding day. It had to be about families, friends, nephews, jagerbombs (oh gosh), cocktails and lots of shabby chic thrown in-between.
Now most people presume that it’s the brides that organise everything to do with Weddings but Nick stepped up to the mark and became as much involved as Jo. Infact these guys eneded up writing together about their wedding experience on Boho Weddings and events. You can see all their dairy entries if you click on this link.
The day was perfectly planned and Jo even arrived at the church a few minutes early! A few trips around the block and we were all ready for the wedding. Jo looked amazing in her Mark Lesley dress and Nick and his groomsmen looked very handsome all suited and booted. After the ceremony J+N were greeted with a s*#t load of the most colourful confetti ever and it looked blumming aces raining down on them! While the wedding party headed to the 315 we headed to the park for some portrait shots and a cheeky ride on the swings. Back at 315 everyone was served a gorgeous 3 course meal. If you haven’t tried the food here please do it’s delicious. Nick and Jo decided that they would do a joint speech. It was brilliant. They complimented each other perfectly. The cake….Oh my word the cake. I don’t think we will ever forget the smell of the cake when we walked in. It tasted as good as it looked! It must have done as everyone kept going back for more. We heart cake!!!
The evening reception hit the ground running and his and hers cocktails were the theme throughout the evening. Even Paul got in on the action as Nick kept buying him jagerbombs ha ha. (Thanks Nick).
Thanks Jo and Nick for letting us shoot such a great day.
