We shot Hannah + Steve’s Liverpool Maritime Museum Wedding back in September on the most glorious Autumn Day.
We headed across the M62 past the iconic farm in the middle of both carriageways which pretty much defines the Yorkshire/Lancashire and continued on in to Liverpool where Steve was getting ready at home and Hannah was getting ready at the very gorgeous Titanic Hotel. We first met Hannah + Steve a few months before hand on their pre wed shoot in Leeds and soon realised how much they loved each others company (these guys really are besotted with each other – It’s so lovely to see). We also discovered how chilled they both are and this vibe carried on throughout the morning getting ready preps. A red London bus collected Hannah + the girls and they had a lovely drive from The Titanic passing the iconic Liver building over to Liverpool Town Hall.
Most Town Hall’s are full of character and we absolutely love them but Liverpool Town Hall took our breathe away. We knew it was going to be something special as soon as we stepped through the doorway. The light, the location couldn’t be more perfect and we were really excited to shoot our first wedding here.
The ceremony was beautiful. The nerves, the laughter but the absolutely wonderful registrars who made the ceremony so personal for Hannah + Steve. After the ceremony H + S and all their guests flooded out onto the beautiful iconic balcony where the likes of the Queen and the Beatles had made legendary appearances. Fizz and canapés were served and smiles went on for miles.
The time came to clamber aboard the routemaster and move onto The Liverpool Maritime Museum Wedding where the reception was held. Once we landed there the Autumn light was too good not to head straight out for a tootle around Albert Docks where H+S were greeted and cheered by so many people. It was brilliant and made H+S smile and laugh.
After our little venture arounf the docks we headed into the LIVERPOOL Maritime Museum where the reception room, full of it’s industrial look was transformed into such beauty with all the wedding details, flowers. It looked magnificent!
Everyone held it together for the speeches until Steve’s brother spoke and then that was that. Tears, tears and more tears. It’s always so lovely to hear a personal speech and this speech was certainly from the heart. We even had lumps in our throats whilst clicking away.
During the evening everyone hit the dance floor and partied throughout the night to the sounds of the great band.
What a bloody great wedding. Yet again Liverpool you welcomed us with open arms and we do have such a soft spot for you. Liverpool also brings us the most wonderful couples.
