Back in April on a very cold Thursday morning we headed off over the border to shoot Gemma + Lloyds Losehill House wedding in Derbyshire.
Gemma + Lloyd had a very delicate, beautiful styled intimate wedding. Gemma wore the most amazing bridal dress. The dress also has a story behind it. Gemma’s sister has her own bridal boutique in New Zealand and the dress came all the way from NZ. Gemma looked amazing too. It is our first time that we have been able to shoot a Claire Pettibone dress. What an amazing designer. Girls….seriously you need to check her out..(link here!) The dress was beautifully finished with some Rachel Simpson shoes. Another designer who we are massive fans of. Even Paul!
Lloyd looked super sharp in his suit matched perfectly with spots on his tie and on his socks with a cool pair of brogues.
They had a lovely ceremony with one of the funniest and jolliest registrars we have met to date. He certainly put Gemma + Lloyd at ease as they were both super nervous prior to the ceremony.
We headed out around the grounds of Losehill and took in the breathtaking scenery of the Derbyshire hills for the portraits.
After we enjoyed listening to some cracking speeches from Lloyd and the boys which took us into the evening celebrations. We even managed to talk the staff into letting us into the pool area after dark to take a couple of shots of them both. By heck it was warm in there!
Congratulations Gemma + Lloyd we had a fantastic time with you guys.
Here are a selection of our favourites…..

Great set of images! It really tells the story of their day.
This is fantastic! I really like the muted romantic tone of your work, very well done 🙂
Beautiful 🙂
Splendid work, Clappertons. Love the one of the bottom of the dress with the groom in the background.
So real, so beautiful! I love the big teethed smiles and the stillness of the mood while she was getting ready.
Ooh love these – very different and creative
