A few weeks ago we headed over the Yorkshire border into Lancashire to shoot the wedding of Ryan + Emma. We first met Ryan about 9 years ago when we shot one of our very first weddings at The Alma Inn, Laneshawbridge where he was the Manager. Ryan has kept in touch with us for almost 9 years and we were super pleased when he asked us to shoot his and Emma’s Wedding. Covid again, put a hold on their date and they finally decided that it would take place over a year later at The Fence Gate Lodge near Clitheroe. R+E decided they wanted a pretty laid back affair for round 2 of wedding planning.
The morning started for Emma at her parents home where she and the girls got ready and Ryan headed straight to the Fence Gate Lodge where he and the boys were getting ready. After an early afternoon of pampering, everyone headed to the venue for the ceremony. R+E opted for the ceremony to start at 4pm, with no sit-down meal as they wanted their wedding to be a relaxed and fun affair.
The ceremony started at 4pm (or maybe a little after) with Emma walking down the aisle just after their super cute little girl Lottie. After the ceremony had finished everyone headed out of the ceremony room for the confetti throw. This was one of the pictures that Emma had desperately wanted and I know she is going to love these! Everyone then headed back indoors as the complimentary drinks table awaited and canapes were leaving the kitchen.
For R+E’s pictures, we headed out to Victoria Park where Emma has spent much time there as a child. We wandered around for a short while reminiscing and giggling (this part of the day is always one of our faves) before heading back to the venue.
The stand-up speeches were lovely and informal. Emma’s father, Ryan and his best man all conducted a speech before everyone headed to the hog roast buffet (which was bloody lovely may we add) and to tuck into the cake table.
After the food and cake were demolished, E+R hit the dancefloor as did all their guests. There were some funky shapes being thrown and lots of dancing before we headed off for the night.
E+R opted for a chilled casual wedding and it was just that. Thank you E + R for asking us to shoot your wedding. We had a great time with you all and Lottie was an absolute star all day!
