Ashes Wedding Barn
Amy + Will’s Ashes Wedding Barn took place in July. The day started with rain. Not just drizzle but absolutely bouncing, pouring rain. We ran from the car when we arrived straight to see Amy in the bridal prep room.
After meeting a very excited Amy, her bridesmaids and her lovely mum we headed to the barn to shoot all the finer details. The rain by now had ceased, the sun has made an appearance and the weather remained lovely for us for the rest of the day. Good weather was not expected! How lucky we were!
Getting ready at The Ashes Wedding Barn
Kel headed off to see Will and his groomsmen. They were greeting all the guests that were arriving and also drinking a small 😉 amount of Buckfast. We had never heard of this drink before but was reliably informed that it was Will and the boys’ favourite tipple.
After a few drinks the guys headed into the barn while Amy and the girls were on the last minutes getting ready preps.
The wedding ceremony was conducted by a friend in the barn alongside the registrars. This made the ceremony so lovely and super personal for these two wonderful people.
After the ceremony everyone headed out onto the terrace to throw confetti all over the newlyweds and enjoy the drinks and canapés. We took a few minutes of A+W’s time to take some images of them in the pretty gardens by the beautiful house on The Ashes estate before everyone headed in for the wedding breakfast.
The Wedding Speeches
The speeches were lovely. Amy’s dad had made a video about Amy and her life and this was displayed in on the big screen for everyone to watch. There were a few tears at this moment before Will had everyone laughing throughout his speech as did his best man.
After the wedding breakfast there was a little time where the barn needed to be changed around ready for the evening celebrations so we took this time to sneak A+W away to a hill just a short drive away. We twirled, enjoyed the views and let A+W have some time alone.
After a short time on the hill we headed back to the Ashes Wedding Barn where they cut the cake and enjoyed dancing into the night!
A massive thanks to Amy + Will for being so welcoming from the emails, the love shoot in Manchester Northern Quarter and on your wedding day. We had such a great time with you all.
