We will talk about this Trinity Buoy Wharf Wedding forever!! Firstly got to shoot and hang out in London, which we always LOVE. Then we worked with the most amazing wedding suppliers and planner (Everyone needs Andri at their wedding) and from the start of this wedding day we felt we were part of Stefan + Kerri’s amazing Greek family. This was our first Greek wedding and we absolutely loved it! Stefan + Kerri are the most loveliest people you would ever wish to meet and so madly in love.
The morning started round Kerri + Stefan’s parents houses where the excitement bubbled away between all members of their families. Whilst wanting a more laid back approach they also wanted little touches of Greek tradition. From their parents we headed to the Greek Church which was absolutely jaw dropping inside. We loved shooting here because the priest gave us complete freedom to take pictures of whatever we wanted. Normally, we are restricted in churches to where we can shoot but not here! We can’t thank them enough for letting us do this.
Once the beautiful ceremony was completed Stefan + Kerri headed outside and were showered in a tonne of confetti before everyone filed on to an ol’ Routemaster to head to Trinity Bouy Wharf.
Once at Trinity Buoy Wharf all the guests headed down to the jetty to aboard a boat which then ferried them down the Thames to enjoy 1 hour of eating canapes, drinking copious amounts of fizz and time to enjoy some live music. It was our first time aboard a boat on the thames and it was great fun.
As the boat pulled back up to the jetty we looked out of the boats windows like Captain Birdseye to see the amazing warehouse wedding venue of Trinity Buoy Wharf looking truly awesome. Once back on dry land we snuck Kerri + Stefan off for some family pictures and pictures of these guys alone.
Once everyone had been seated for dinner the speeches commenced and they were some of the most heartfelt speeches we have ever had the pleasure of hearing. It’s weird how we often barely know a couple yet during speeches we often find ourselves crying, raising eyebrows or laughing hysterically to some of the stories being told. After dessert plates were scraped clean of every last bit of chocolate pudding the mood ramped up exponentially. These guys were ready to throw it all down on the dance floor (or work off some of the excellent chocolate pudding they just had)! It was brilliant. We remember looking around at one point and literally everyone was throwing a shape, tying a tie around their head or encouraging dance offs whilst the band and DJ did their thing. No one looked for ‘the quiet corner’ and it made for some epic pictures.
Thank you Kerri + Stefan for trusting us to shoot your wedding and our first Greek wedding! You were amazing and we will forever talk about you guys.
