The moment we met Hannah + Neil we knew we were going to have one hell of a day on their wedding day if they booked us, thankfully they did and we are so pleased they did. They wanted an awesome Yorkshire wedding venue and they definitely found it in Utopia. We absolutely LOVE this venue with its never ending places for new photographs, good vibe and it has a very special place in our hearts as it’s the venue where we shot our first ever wedding.
On the day, Neil got ready at The Tempest Arms and looked the part in his suit which was from one of my favourite High St brands Zara. Hannah was having a right giggle with all the girls over at Eden which is within the grounds of the Broughton Hall estate. Her Olvi’s dress from Ava Rose Hamilton was absolutely breathtaking. Shoes were from Faith and head piece from Victoria Walker Boutique.
Broughton Hall has its own catholic chapel adjoined to the main house and it is absolutely gorgeous inside. The ceremony was so beautiful.
After, everyone walked across the grounds to the walled garden which is home to Utopia with high spirits and a glass of bubbly in hand. The room looked absolutely with tables being named after different birds. The cake made from paint tins filled with a piece of cake and a tea bag was absolute genius and they had a painting of the cake rather than cutting!!!
Speeches were an emotional affair too and so well read by all. After the meal it was P.A.R.T.Y time and that was brought to the table by ‘The Bohemians‘. These guys were incredible and their version of ‘Pump up the Jam’ by Technotronic was sweeeeeeeet and had me joining the masses for a good old shape throw or three. Even Hannah’s cousin Sarah joined the band and performed a song for H+N which was beautiful.
One of our main priorities when shooting weddings apart from getting awesome pictures of course is by the end of it all is to have two new friends in the couple and we know we will be friends with Hannah + Neil for many years to come.
These are our faves…
