Emma+Stuart held their Woodlands Wedding Leeds back in April.
We originally met these guys at a wedding fayre. Emma was a very excitable bride and I knew instantly we would love her.
In the morning Kelly headed off to see Stuart and the lads. They ate bacon butties, flooded the kitchen with the coffee machine and did…you know, boy things while Paul headed off to see Emma to do all the girlie things. Probably the most memorable moment of the bridal prep was when Emma walked down the stairs in her amazing dress towards her mum and dad. Her proud dad shed so many tears. We have never seen such a prouder dad to see his daughter.
We headed onto the church where everyone waited for the bridal party hoping the rain would hold off and it did! After a ceremony filled with laughter, loud singing and many smiles (including the awesome vicar) we headed out of the church where E+S’s guests pummelled them with a tonne of confetti before they jumped in the car and headed to The Woodlands.
We arrived at the Woodlands and made use of the lovely grounds and gardens for some of their portraits and the family shots. We also made use of the bin area with Em+Stu as the light there was just immense! I know the Woodlands staff thought we were totally crazy at this point as they were looking out of the windows wondering what the hell we were doing hanging out by the bins.
After the very tearful, emotional and happy speeches we jumped in the car and headed out to a field where we had seen a cool tanker in the middle of it. Emma kicked off her shoes, Stuart took off his jacket and they spent time together and we documented it. Laughing, chatting about what each other had got up to the night before and in the morning and just spending time together as a newly married couple. I cannot recommend this time spent together as a couple on your wedding day enough! We made memories and got some amazing images too. I will always remember Paul + Stuart lifting Emma up onto the trailer. I don’t think we have ever laughed so much!
Em+Stu partied into the evening with their friends and family. We might have danced a little too 😉
We are so glad that we have met Emma+Stuart through photography and weddings. Stuart (water-boy) has been a massive help to us and the best Electrician around. He fixed all our lighting in the studio and we will be forever be grateful. Emma is ace. She emailed us regular updates in the build up to the wedding with her wedding ideas, pictures of dresses and asked us for our opinions on wedding ideas. Emma+Stuart we are proud to call you our friends and we are so glad we could be there to see you get married as your photographers but also as your new mates. I see regular bowling sessions, more drunken shenanigans in Leeds and meeting up over Sunday dinners.
Here are a selection of our faves…..
