York Winter Wedding

Remember the days before Covid-19? We do (just) but we definitely remember our last wedding before lockdown v1.0. The lovely Hannah + Lofty. Hannah + Lofty’s York Winter Wedding was held on the very unique date of 29th February 2020.

Hannah’s wedding preparations started in the little Airbnb attached to the venue. Paul joined her to take some photos of her and the bridal party. Lofty headed straight to the pub where Kelly headed to and joined them for a cheeky pre-wedding drink.

The ceremony was held in 1331. It’s a beautiful wedding venue that has a small ceremony room with the most gorgeous glass window as the backdrop. The venue was what you could describe as a speakeasy-art deco styled venue. We loved 1331, it’s a great intimate venue if you are thinking of holding a wedding for under 60 people.

After the wedding ceremony and the formalities were over, we headed outdoors to meet H+L’s gorgeous black Lab who came along with Katie, a lovely dog chaperone (Her details are at the end of this post.) for some pictures. We took lots of pictures on the streets of York before we headed for a walk with H+L to York Minster to take some images of these guys before the meal.

After the meal everyone and we mean everyone hit the dancefloor! The cool thing about 1331 is that they have a secret cinema upstairs. While some people partied, others headed to the cinema room, some guests spilt out onto the streets of York and chilled out in the ceremony room which turned into the cake/food room.

Massive thank you to H+L for being ace from the moment you booked us. Thank you for having the best wedding before Covid hit us and we hope you get that honeymoon soon.
