Burnsall Village Hall Wedding
It’s been a whole three weeks since we last blogged and we are breaking the silence with Philomena + Dan’s Burnsall Village Hall Wedding in North Yorkshire.
We started the morning with Kel heading to groom prep at Dan + Philomena’s beautiful Yorkshire home. Paul headed across to the next village to shoot bride prep with Philomena at her family home. It was a chilled morning at both bride and groom prep.
After Dan and his groomsmen were ready they headed over to the Broughton Hall Estate where the ceremony was to take place. Broughton Hall has the most amazing Catholic Chapel attached to the gorgeous house. We have shot quite a few times here and absolutely love it. Father Summersgill conducted the ceremony and as usual he was his happy, jolly and so very welcoming. (Don’t tell the others but he is our very favourite priest). Dan and the groomsmen hurried everyone into the chapel in the rain (come on would it be a Yorkshire wedding without rain?) before Philomena arrived.

Philomena stepped out of the car in her absolutely stunning in her Claire Pettibone Gown. It started to really pour down with rain but that didn’t take the smile off her face one little bit as she entered the chapel.
After the beautiful service everyone headed out in the now dry weather onto the cobbles of the chapel grounds to throw a tonne of confetti over the newlyweds. We then headed off with Philomena + Dan to take pictures of them on the beautiful Yorkshire Dales rolling hills above Burnsall. It started raining again on the hills but that didn’t stop these two from having fun whilst having their pictures taken.
Yorkshire Dales Wedding
When we arrived at Burnsall we were blown away by how amazing the village hall looked. The hall was covered in amazing flowers, bottles and cute little decorations. The guests all feasted on canapés from the Hog and Apple over the road in a beautiful marquee before heading over to the village hall to eat a feast again provided by the Hog + Apple.
The speeches were emotional, fun and happy. Again, A brides speech was one of our highlights. Philomena JUST held it together.
Into the evening everyone danced to the sounds of Under the Covers band and drank amazing cocktails from the Yorkshire Bartender. There were some amazing shapes being thrown on the dance floor before the pizza arrived. After lining those tummies again everyone crazy danced some more.
