Elizabeth Gaskell’s House
When Alex + Gazz’s email dropped into our inbox asking if we would shoot their Elizabeth Gaskell’s House Wedding we were over the moon.
These guys planned a very informal, relaxed and intimate day. They wanted their wedding day to be a celebration of their marriage. No fancy cars, none of the fuss, just two people in love celebrating getting married. That is just what their wedding day was.
A + G started the morning in their super-cool house in central Manchester. They both got ready together alongside their closest family and friends and many bottles of champers were popped. Once everyone was ready the Ubers were requested and everyone headed to Elizabeth Gaskells House.
Elizabeth Gaskell’s House Wedding
Elizabeth Gaskell’s House is new to hosting weddings and what an absolutely wonderful place to get married. It’s oldie worldly, full of history, trinkets, quirky items, and the building is absolutely stunning.
Alex + Gazz were married in the main room at Elizabeth Gaskell’s house surrounded by their friends and family. It was a lovely ceremony, very laid back and filled with lots of laughter. After the ceremony concluded everyone headed outside to throw confetti over Alex + Gazz before heading indoors for canapes and drinks.
To keep with the theme of relaxed and casual A+G opted for scotch eggs for the canapes. Not any old scotch eggs, possibly the best scotch eggs that we have ever tasted. After the scotch eggs were demolished the Eat New York Street Food Van pulled up and everyone devoured the Salt Beef Bagels that were served. We do say this quite often but Street Food vans at weddings are a fantastic idea. These bagels….man alive these bagels were fucking amazing.
Manchester Wedding
For the evening reception, again G+A kept things lovely and relaxed and everyone headed to Refuge in Manchester. G+A hired a private area within the amazing bar of refuge for everyone to drink cocktails, eat tapas food and two colin the caterpillar groom cakes and also play table football.
It was also wonderful to hang out with 2 of our previous couples at the wedding who were A+G’s guests! (You can see their weddings here and here)
A+G thank you so much for asking us to shoot your Elizabeth Gaskell’s House Manchester Wedding. We had a bloody lovely time with you both and have loved getting to know you and share our favourite stories of the neighborhood watch 😉
Here are just a few of our favourites.
