Belmount Hall Lake District Wedding
Happy Anniversary to Francis and Rebekah. Their Belmount Hall Lake District Wedding was a full year ago yesterday. A YEAR! Time has just skipped on by.
Francis and Rebekah are wonderful people. When they first enquired with us we knew that the four of us were going to make a great team on their day. Food, Family, Fun and no stress was the vibe they were looking for and they got all of that and more!
It was a relaxed morning with the bridal parties. Francis getting ready at a wonderful cottage a few miles away from Belmount Hall and Rebekah and the girls getting ready in the bridal suite at the beautiful Lake District Wedding Venue, Belmount Hall. It couldn’t have been any more relaxed. These two just take everything in their stride.
All their family and friends arrived at the beautiful venue and huddled into the wedding ceremony room to wait for Rebekah’s arrival. Francis, ahhhh Francis. We don’t think we will ever forget just how happy and emotional he was to see Rebekah (and how amazing does she look in her Rue De Seine wedding dress and those heels…supplier info can be found at the bottom of the post). That smile and the many tears. He touched everyone including his brother who couldn’t hold it together for his ceremony reading whilst Francis couldn’t help but giggle at him. Emotions are a wonderful thing especially at weddings and absolutely wonderful for us to photograph.
After the ceremony everyone spilled onto the gravelled terrace where Grasmere Ginger Biscuits were dished out in the absolutely glorious sunshine. We took Francis + Rebekah around the grounds for a few sunny snaps before everyone was called into the wedding breakfast.
After the touching and again emotional (there certainly was something in Kel’s eye) speeches everyone tucked into the amazing macaroons. I don’t think we have ever tasted something so amazing! Rebekah did warn us they were very more-ish and to help out we tried one of each 😉
After eating a few one of the macaroons 😉 we whisked Rebekah and Francis off onto the top of a hill where we could take in those great Lake District views. Now, we are not kidding here (on the day we did Instagram Story it!) these guys literally climbed up a massive muddy hill to get to the top of the wood so we could take some pictures of them. It took a good 10 minutes and we are so grateful that R+F did this. Absolute heroes (I keep telling you all we have the best couples!) Francis then piggy backed Rebekah back to the car where we drove the 5 minutes back through winding Lake District lanes to Belmount Hall.
We headed back into the room where these guys had their first dance and then everyone partied! Everyone danced and had a bloody great time.
A massive thank you to all the suppliers and a massive thank you to Francis + Rebekah. We have grown so fond of you, both in the lead up to and on the day and since. We love keeping in touch via Instagram and following your crazy adventures, amazing food trips and your beautiful kitty stories. Thank you so much for introducing us to The Federal and Ginger’s ice cream in Manchester. You both rock and your wedding will forever be etched in our memories.
