York Maze Barn Wedding Photography

We cannot begin to explain how amazing this Bank Holiday weekend has been. We started on Saturday with a York Maze Barn Wedding and ended the weekend at Ellingham Hall in Northumberland. Both weddings and our couples were absolutely amazing!

York Maze Barn Wedding

Elisha + Rob’s York Maze Wedding took place on Saturday. We have been to York Maze before to shoot a wedding (Check it out here) and we absolutely love the place! We were recommended to these guys by the very lovely Sarah who was a bridesmaid for Elisha and our previous bride Sophie (check Sophie + James Wedding here- A massive heartfelt thank you Sarah!)

Sunny Wedding

Now, it’s not often for us here in the UK to have a sunny Bank Holiday weekend but this weekend was absolutely amazing! The sun shone for us all weekend and Elisha + Rob had the best barn wedding in the gloriously sunny Yorkshire weather.

Campervan Wedding Transport

Elisha, her parents and bridesmaids arrived in the most gorgeous camper vans whilst Rob and the boys did the last minute wedding venue preps, hanging bunting hanging and the like. They then greeted all the guests as they arrived at the sun drenched York Maze. The ceremony took place in one of the barns before everyone headed out into the courtyard to throw a tonne of confetti over E+R. After the confetti was thrown the drinks and canapes were served. Guests explored the vast expanse of York Maze. Kids played in the playground, guests jumped like crazy on the bouncy pillow and everyone enjoyed copious amounts of good gin!

Gin Themed Wedding

Elisha + Rob had a Gin Themed Wedding with lots of amazing Gin bottles for each guest to make their own unique Gin drink at the ‘Pimp Your Gin Station’. As well as the Gin theme these guys also had their own twist on the wedding food. Rather than a formal 3 course meal these guys opted for Meze! It was one of the best ideas EVER. The guests (including us – Thank you to E+R for having us sitting with the guests. We had so much fun!) all tucked in and feasted on the sharing platters.
The food from the Amazing Wedding Company was absolutely bloody delish! We have found a new love for Meze!

After the food was finished and the tears were wiped away from the most lovely emotional speeches everyone headed out onto the terrace. Outside the guests were entertained with a pub quiz, wedding hat making contest, bouquet catching competition and lots of other crazy drinking games.

Brass Band Wedding Entertainment

Twisted Tubes arrived part way through the first dance and everyone partied into the night whilst diving into the cheese cake, eating chips and drinking more Gin. We have a feeling there may have been a few sore heads on Sunday morning and we are still gutted we couldn’t camp and enjoy breakfast pizzas with everyone on Sunday.
