Hornington Manor Wedding
Mel + Paul and their Hornington Manor Wedding are our next installment on the blog. We only took two wedding bookings in August 2019 so we could spend more of the school holidays with Fearne. The two weddings we did book were in venues we have wanted to shoot at for a very long time! Hornington Manor is one of those.
Mel + Paul both got ready in the house at Hornington Manor. The House is absolutely gorgeous and the bridal prep room in the house is flooded with the most wonderful natural light. Bride and Groom prep were so great to capture with so much light flowing in through the big windows. Once Paul and his groomsmen were ready they headed outside to welcome guests. As everyone arrived they grabbed a drink before the ceremony and enjoyed the sun on the lawn taking in the gorgeous views. The time arrived to say some vows so Paul and his groomsmen led all the wedding party through to the seating area ready for the outdoor wedding ceremony.
Outdoor Wedding Ceremony
Mel + the girls then excitedly headed downstairs giggling and having all the fun. The outdoor ceremony was conducted under the Pergola with their parents seated right next to them watching the ceremony unfold. All the parents were crying, holding hands as M+P exchanged their vows and became husband and wife!
Once P+M were married everyone headed back through the house and onto the lawn to enjoy the canapes, drinks and garden games. It was beautiful weather and not expected. The weather leading up to the day was rather wet and windy. M+P picked the best day of the week weatherwise.
The wedding breakfast and speeches were held in the barn area of Hornington Manor which again looked amazing. There was a cake table full of cakes that the guests had made that got absolutely devoured shortly after the wedding breakfast.
Wedding Party
In all our weddings we have to say that this was a first for us. No sooner had knives and forks been put down on empty plates did the dancefloor erupt to the sounds of Steven Heath. This was at 5:30 pm! We knew then that it would be one helluva party from then onwards and it was! We snuck off during this time with M+P to catch the last of the light before returning back to party again.
