A Colourful Sheffield Wedding in an Events Venue

Wedding at Sidney and Matilda

We have enjoyed shooting several Sheffield Weddings over the years. However, it was my first time shooting at Sidney & Matilda. We were mega excited to shoot this one as this City Centre Wedding Venue is in the heart of Sheffield’s Cultural Sector. S+T were originally booked with another photographer but the big C-19 meant that S+T’s original wedding photographer could no longer shoot their wedding day. Perhaps it was a blessing in disguise as S+T are the nicest people you would ever wish to meet and we got on so well.

Humanist Wedding Ceremony in Sheffield

The Humanist ceremony was conducted by the fabulous Daniel Glastonbury. As you will all know if you read our blogs regularly, we LOVE a humanist wedding ceremony. The wedding planner for the wedding was Sheffield-based Inner City Weddings who we have been desperate to work with for so, so long. Inner City Weddings styled the venue absolutely perfectly, it was a real visual feast for these guys who wanted an industrial, laid-back, fun wedding theme. I was booked solo for this wedding but Kelly came along on a secret mission. More details on that soon!

Urban Bride and Groom Portraits

We love some urban portraits and where the wedding venue is located in Sheffield meant we had plenty of fun backgrounds to use for bridal portraits. Throw a sunset in the mix too and we were out having a blast shooting these two awesome people.

Wedding Disco in the Basement

Sidney and Matilda has multiple event spaces to use and one of them is the basement. This space is basically a nightclub with a huge sound system. Our friends Karl and Kate from Deckheds were on the turntables bashing out the Wedding Party Bangers and it was a load of fun! They even made every guest get a personalised stamp on their hand just to add to the Nightclub vibes.
