CLAUDIA + RAFA

When I envisioned weddings in Mexico I thought of beachside vow exchanges in Cancun, Sayulita or Riviera Maya.  I never thought mountains, coffee shops and no sand.  This is just what I experienced and it was amazing.

Claudia + Rafa originally saw our images from Paola + Andres wedding in Panama and they got in touch from there.

Clau + Rafa choose to have a first look before the ceremony.  This was lovely.  You could see the excitement in their faces as Clau approached Rafa.

They married in the most wonderful church in Valle De Bravo Mexico.  High ceilings and beautiful beams of light shining through the whole church surrounded with over 300 of their family and friends.  I will be honest here and say I had no idea what was being said during the ceremony as it was all in Spanish and I speak no Spanish at all!  What I do know is that it was truly emotional as there was laughter, tears and huge applauses all the way through.

After the ceremony we all headed off to the marquee at Las Gilas on the edge of Valle De Bravo lake where they partied.  Oh and did they party.  They entered the marquee dancing to AC/DC!  This is the second Mexican wedding we have shot and believe me when I say these guys can show us Brits a thing or two!  They partied hard into the next day!

Huge thanks to Clau + Rafa for flying me out to Mexico to capture your day.  I have many fabulous memories from the day and I vow I will bring Kelly and Fearne back one day to experience the fantastic Mexican hospitality.
