Wedding Photography at Broughton Sanctuary

As wedding photographers, We’ve seen all sorts of wedding venues, but none quite as magical as Broughton Sanctuary and Utopia. This place is extra special for us as it’s where our wedding photography journey began back in 2011. It’s a hidden gem tucked away in the rolling hills of North Yorkshire, and it’s one of the most unique venues we’ve had the pleasure of shooting at.

Firstly, the venue is huge! With over 3,000 acres of lush greenery and stunning architecture, there are so many spots for taking beautiful photographs. The wide variety of setting provides a stunning backdrop that you just don’t get at other venues. 

But the best part about Broughton Sanctuary and Utopia is that it caters for everything. From the grandeur of the stately home wedding, to the contemporary space of Utopia and it’s finely manicured walled gardens, to the informal party House of Eden there is a location to suit every couple’s taste. The Hall even has The Sacred Heart Chapel attached which can host Catholic weddings. The staff are incredibly helpful and always on hand to make sure everything runs smoothly.

One of the things we appreciate most as a photographer is the way that the venue's design and decor allow for so many unique and interesting photo opportunities. Whether it's the ornate historic structure of the hall, the colourful flowers of the walled garden, the nearby woodlands or the rolling hills of Yorkshire as the sun is setting. There is no shortage of beautiful backdrops to work with.
