Yorkshire Wedding
‘You both made us feel completely at ease at our Yorkshire Wedding and having our photos done was one of our favourite parts of the day as it was really our only alone time… straight after the stress and worries of the morning and emotions of saying our vows. We were in our own little bubble during photos despite posing and having 2 photographers there, who we had only met a few hours before….. but you both made us feel so relaxed and did not intrude on our moments together which have all been beautifully captured in the photos by the abbey.
You continued to capture magical moments like this throughout the day.. the speeches and the evening shenanigans. It was great seeing special moments that we didn’t get to see during the day.
We absolutely love our photos. We are so impressed with the evening pictures and how well they came out despite what I imagine is awkward indoor lighting.
We could not recommend you enough’
Maria + Micheal were married at the beautiful Cripps Tithe Barn in Bolton Abbey. Cripps Barn is a stunning Yorkshire Wedding Venue in North Yorkshire close to Bolton Abbey and the stepping stones across the River Wharfe.
The morning started with Micheal getting ready in the cute little village of Addingham and Maria in an Airbnb called The Barn nearby in Ilkley. It was a cold winter morning BUT, after a week’s worth of rain, we had a clear day! YESSS…
Micheal arrived at the barn to greet the guests who had arrived and to make sure everything was in place. Shortly followed by a very beautiful Maria and her bridesmaid squad.
Creative Wedding
Maria opted to wear such a beautiful dress and Micheal wore a gorgeous suit. It’s not often that we talk about the wedding attire but we have to make an exception for Maria and Micheal. Maria’s dress was from Harrogate Wedding Lounge (who we have had the pleasure of working alongside with at many other weddings) and the designer is Justin Alexander. Justin’s designs are so beautiful and this one again blew us away. Maria looked amazing! We told Micheal this on the day but we have never seen a groom wear a green suit just like this one. It was such a gorgeous tone! (Wedding Vendors are at the bottom of this post).
The ceremony took place in the barn in front of all their family and friends before everyone headed onto the terrace. We took this moment to head down to the Abbey with M+M. Usually, we like to leave our couples for a good 15-20 mins or so to mingle with their guests but we headed straight out for the couple pictures as soon as the ceremony had finished. M+M were married in right at the end of November and at the end of November the sun usually sets between 1545-1600. With this in mind we all wanted to make sure we had some pictures before the sun dipped below the horizon so heading down to the abbey at 1445 was the perfect time to have pictures taken.
Once we had climbed, walked, laughed oh and took some pictures at the Abbey we headed back to the wedding party ready for the speeches and dancing. The speeches were emotional, hilarious and no hint of a speech coming straight from the internet! Win-Win! We snapped away as everyone laughed at the speeches.
After the cake cut the party really started. M+M partied on down until we left around 10 pm with a slab of serviette wrapped wedding cake in hand.
We want to thank M+M for choosing us to shoot their wedding, for climbing fences and for being bloody wonderful from start to finish.
