The Faversham Leeds Wedding
We have photographed a few times now at The Faversham in Leeds and this awesome events space is just a stone’s throw from Leeds City Centre and attracts cool and fun couples who want something just a little bit different for their wedding just like Roz + Jim. It is in the heart of the University Area so you can just imagine how ace this venue is.
Kelly headed off to groom prep just a few miles from the Faversham to meet a super cool Jim and his best Man while Paul, headed towards Leeds City Centre on the train to see Roz and her bridal party.
Wedding Day VW Campervan in Leeds
There was a little surprise for Roz when leaving for the wedding ceremony. It is Roz’s dream to own a camper van. Not any old camper van though, it would have to be a VW Camper van. We had a secret chat with Jim over the months leading up to the wedding and we just knew how much Roz would love a camper van for her wedding so, Jim along with Roz’s parents surprised her by hiring one for the day! The camper arrived just as Roz was leaving the hotel and it transported her, Roz’s mum and dad to the ceremony. Roz was over the moon!
Wedding Ceremony at The Faversham
The ceremony was conducted with a very happy and giggling couple in the beautiful space that is the glass-roofed conservatory at The Faversham which is great for us wedding photographers as we thrive off some good light. As the newlyweds made their exit from the ceremony everyone else followed outside to throw the most confetti ever known to man over Jim + Roz. We were finding it for months afterwards!
Wedding Photographs at Leeds Dock
After the confetti was thrown we headed out with Jim + Roz in the camper van to get some pictures. We were only supposed to be gone for 20 mins but on this occasion was over an hour! Now let us explain. It was the most mental, funniest, memorable journey we can ever wish to have and doubt it will ever be topped. The driver of the van was such a character. He drove us to Leeds Dock. Double parked then got us lost on the one-way system in the centre of Leeds. When we finally arrived at the Dock we spent 10 mins walking around getting great portraits of R+J before heading back to the van only to find the driver missing. We waited a few minutes for him to show, he was only shopping in Tescos! Roz, Jim and ourselves were in tears of laughter. It was just so funny and one of the top 10 moments of our wedding career. We laughed so hard with these two on that day.
We headed back to the Faversham and told the story to the rest of the wedding party before everyone sat down to listen to the speeches and eat their body weight in amazing food.
Sunset Wedding Photos in Leeds
After the food was finished we were gifted with a great sunset so we did a high five and a HELL YES and took Roz + Jim out for some more pictures. We popped over to the Uni grounds where we followed that beautiful golden light. We love shooting couples at sunset.
Wedding Brass Bands are Awesome
Before long we headed back indoors for their first dance. We listened and watched the New York Brass Band who were amazing as always. We hung out with all the guests who were here for the evening. This included Roz’s American Football teammates, Yep Roz plays American Football in her free time. These ladies were so much fun and we were elated to hang out with them again this year at Karis + Emma’s Wedding. Seriously they know how to have all of the fun.
Massive Thanks to Jim + Roz for having us along. We laughed so much that our tummies hurt. You are both amazing people and we have been keeping this wedding all to ourselves. So here we are sharing over a year later a few of our favourite images from The Faversham Leeds Wedding.
