Glasgow Botanical Gardens Wedding

Glasgow Botanical Gardens is the most beautiful place to shoot a wedding. We have been booked to shoot this amazing Glasgow Wedding for a while but the C-word made us hold on a little while longer. It was absolutely worth the wait. If you have followed our blog for a while you will know how much we love Scotland and shooting Scottish Weddings. It’s been a little (we should be saying wee) while since we shot our last Scottish Wedding so as you can imagine, we were really excited.

Kibble Palace

The ceremony took place in the Kibble Palace of the Glasgow Botanical Gardens building. As the rain poured and poured all day the original plans to have the ceremony in the open room were moved to this gorgeous little room surrounded by the most amazing tropical greenery. The ceremony was conducted by Gemma’s sister who was absolutely marvellous. She had everyone laughing and in tears throughout.

After the ceremony, we headed out into the main area of the gardens where Gemma and Gav had a little moment where they bumped into former Arsenal star (who G+G and Paul support) and current Glasgow Rangers player Aaron Ramsey. Massive thanks to Aaron for letting them grab a picture on their wedding day. We took loads of wedding portraits in the amazing Glasgow Botanical Gardens and fussed over the best dog in the world, Gus before heading off in taxis across the city to Studio 93.

Glasgow Wedding

We were met with more rain, confetti, Spicy margaritas and the most amazing Spanish Paella. The afternoon was Spanish themed as a nod to one of our couple’s favourite countries and cuisines. Once the meal was eaten and the tables were moved to make space for dancing, Gemma + Gav surprised everyone by entertaining all with their skills of Tyagarah by Elephant Sessions on the drums/Flute before strutting their stuff on the dancefloor.

This Glasgow Botanical Garden Wedding was an absolute pleasure to shoot. Triple G (Gem, Gav and Gus) are so bloody wonderful to be around. Thank you Glasgow Botanical Gardens, Studio 93 for looking after us so well. Your Scottish hospitality was amazing and we were sad to leave at the end of the evening.
