The one great thing that Covid has brought us in the Wedding Industry is Micro Weddings just like this gorgeous Harrogate Micro Wedding.

Hannah + Peter were due to get married last year but due to Covid, they had to delay it until this year. These guys only got in touch with us in May to ask if we were able to shoot their wedding. With a stroke of luck, we were!

Registry Office Ceremony at Bilton House, Harrogate

H+P explained that they were due to get married at Bilton House which is Harrogate’s Register Office followed by a reception in their own Home garden near Leeds with just 20 guests. Before Covid and in over 10 years of shooting weddings we have never shot a wedding at Harrogate Register Office. Bearing in mind, this place is only about 20 miles away from home. So far this year we have shot just 5 weddings and 2 of them have been at Harrogate Register Office. It’s a gorgeous place so on the day we decided to shoot the family portraits on The Stray just over the road.

After the ceremony, H+P’s guests jumped on board a coach and headed back to their house whilst the newly married couple hopped in the back of our van (it’s more glamorous than it sounds, trust us) and we went for some portraits on the way to their home from Harrogate to Leeds. Peter spent some time a few days before the wedding hunting out three wonderful photo locations in the Yorkshire Countryside. He pulled an absolute blinder!

Small Wedding Reception at Home

After spending a short time laughing and giggling in fields, on a hill and in the forest we headed back to H+P’s house where the rest of their friends and family were waiting for them.

KK Catering provided us all with a Greek Feast that was absolutely delicious before everyone chilled on garden chairs and blankets to hear the speeches.

After the speeches, we headed into the marquee where the cake was chopped and then everyone danced. Who says you need a big wedding to have a party? These guys certainly didn’t. Everyone was dancing, singing to ‘Sweet Caroline’ before I wrapped up and left them to party on into the night.

H+P thank you for having such a brilliant wedding. You certainly proved you don’t need hundreds of guests, a grand venue and lots of wedding suppliers to have a bloody great wedding.
