A Wedding Ceremony in Harrogate
This stunning unforgettable outdoor wedding ceremony of Nikki and John was held on the most gorgeous spring sunny day. From a bustling park filled with coronation chaos to the peaceful moments in the Japanese gardens and a crazy dancefloor, this wedding was an absolute blast! So many hilarious and heartwarming moments unfolded at the Sun Pavilion in Harrogate and we were there to photograph it all.
Valley Gardens in Harrogate on the King’s Coronation
N + J said their “I do’s” while the whole town gathered in the Valley Gardens for King Charles’s coronation. Talk about a double whammy! With the Sun Pavilion as the backdrop, these awesome people tied the knot amidst thousands of cheering onlookers. It was like having a front-row seat to the most unique wedding ever. The energy was contagious and something we have never seen before.

After the newly married couple had some time to hang out with their friends and family we headed out to take some couple portraits. The only quiet place in the whole of Valley Gardens was the Japanese gardens. Nikki and John escaped the chaos for a moment and found themselves in a dreamy setting. On the way back we pulled rank and did some queue jumping so that these guys could share some ice cream, we always recommend Ice-Cream! We had a real laugh together.
Heartfelt Wedding Speeches
When it was time to fuel up, everyone gathered under the great domed roof of the Sun Pavilion for a wedding breakfast that could make Jamie Oliver proud. The speeches, though? Let’s just say they were the highlight of the show. Family and friends unleashed their talents, delivering laughs, tears, and embarrassing stories that had everyone in stitches. And as we have said many times before. We LOVE a bride’s wedding speech.
Wedding Photographs with Cherry Blossom in Harrogate
After the wedding breakfast, we had the opportunity to take N+J on a short drive to The Stray, where the Cherry Blossom trees were in full bloom. This picturesque setting provided an awesome backdrop for capturing some relaxed evening wedding portraits.

Dance like crazy at a wedding in Yorkshire
Dance, Dance, Dance: After all that feasting and laughing, it was time to hit the dance floor! Nikki and John danced to The Girl by City and Colour. Soon after their crew joined them and the party got into full swing. The beats were pumping, the energy was high. Soon after it was nearly time for us to head home but before that we couldn’t resist grabbing a few more wedding photographs of N+J under the festoon lights of The Sun Pavilion.

This was our first visit to the Sun Pavilion in Harrogate and we absolutely loved it! The Sun Pavilion can provide an outdoor and indoor ceremony space. The dome is absolutely stunning inside and the light in the room is absolutely perfect for us wedding photographers. Whilst we didn’t manage to make full use of Valley Gardens on this occasion due to the Coronation we can definitely see some fantastic wedding photograph opportunities around this wedding venue for our next visit.
