Yorkshire Wedding Photos

Koren + Mason originally contacted us back in 2019 to ask if we were free to shoot their 2020 Yorkshire Wedding Photos. Unfortunately, we weren’t available. We referred them to another photographer and we were pretty gutted to be honest. Fast forward to the pandemic. Koren + Mason had to delay their wedding until 2021 and their photographer was not available on their new date. They decided to get back in touch with us to see if we were available on their new 2021 date and by chance we were! The pandemic hasn’t been much fun but there have been some good things that have come from it. This being one of them!

Now let’s get straight to the weather. It rained. It literally rained all day bar a few small moments but that doesn’t matter when you have a gorgeous venue like the Tithe Barn at Bolton Abbey. It was our first visit to Bolton Abbey this year and it was so good to see Sharon and the rest of the crew.

The morning started at The Devonshire Fell for Koren and the girls whilst Mason’s started at Herriots in Skipton. Koren originally had planned to have 4 bridesmaids but due to restrictions on travelling one of Koren’s bridesmaids was stuck at home in Germany and unable to travel. Thank goodness for technology. She was able to attend bride prep by means of an iPad! After bride prep was finished, they all hopped into cars and headed to the Priory Church at Bolton Abbey where Mason was waiting.

Koren just about held it together when she arrived at the priory and dashed in under an umbrella to miss the pouring rain. She was so excited when she arrived in her gorgeous Justin Alexander dress.

Tithe Barn Bolton Abbey

Once the ceremony had finished everyone headed up to The Tithe Barn to enjoy drinks and canapes before the speeches and food arrived. Again, we had a brides speech! So far this year all our weddings have featured a brides speech and this is one trend that we want to continue.

Once the speeches were over, food was finished and the many drinks were consumed it was time for the party! K+M danced to the brilliant Northern House Band before partying the night away.

We are so glad that K+M found their way back to us after their original date had to be delayed. It was so good to spend time with you both in York for the engagement shoot and at the Tithe Barn, Bolton Abbey.
