Cripps Barn Wedding
I know I know, we have blogged again! 3 amazing weddings blogged in one week and you may possibly see one more yet this week! We are working some very long hours this week as Paul is heading off on a Mountain biking holiday in Solden, Austria next week leaving Kelly holding the fort. Next on the blog is this Cripps Barn Wedding starring Jen + Ben.
Anyway…Enough of us, lets talk about these two beautiful humans….Jen + Ben who married at the gorgeous Cripps Barn.
From the first skype chat to emails about Game Of Thrones we knew that Jen + Ben’s wedding would be amazing. They are our perfect kind of couple. Funny, kind, generous, party people, up for a laugh, madly in love with each other and they live life by the moment.
In the morning we headed off to bride and groom prep. Kelly, room hopped with Ben + the boys before heading to the bar for a swift one before the short drive to Cripps Barn. Paul headed to bride prep to meet Jen where we discovered she had lost her voice! When we say lost her voice, we really mean LOST HER VOICE…Jen dosed up on medication, drank a tonne of water and camomile tea in the hope it would return enough for her to say her vows and it slowly did.
We have shot before at two of the Cripps Barn Wedding Venues both at Shustoke Barns and also at Tithe Barn but this was our first time at this lovely wedding venue in the Cotswolds. The Barn looked amazing. It was beautifully lit with candles and the flowers and foliage looked stunning against the old barn walls.
Cripps Barn Wedding Ceremony
Ben waited for Jen excitedly at the front of the ceremony for 20 minutes. Jen was on time we will have you know but spent time in the back of the barn trying to regain her voice with her lovely bridesmaids.
Once the voice had returned Jen entered and lit up the room and walked towards a very smily Ben. After the beautifully conducted ceremony everyone headed out onto the terrace with handfuls of confetti waiting for the exit of Jen + Ben.
Jen + Ben exited to a tonne of confetti before feasting on the amazing canapés and drinking champagne with their friends and family.
Just before the rain came, everyone headed indoors to hear the speeches and enjoy the food.
The Speeches – We don’t have favourites, honestly we don’t BUT if we did these speeches would be at the top of our list. Jen, conducted a speech that had everyone in tears. Happy and Sad tears rolled from everyones faces including ours. It was hilarious and we will never forget these speeches. After the speeches there was a shit raffle. Jen + Ben raffled all their shit presents to each other from over the years for their guests. This included a blow up doll that features heavily in the dance floor pictures 😉
After the food we headed out into nearby fields to take pictures of the two of them. We had a right laugh, messing about in the field, chatting, running like children, drinking, hiding in the field before heading back indoors.
Doughnut Wedding Cake
You know why we love these two? There was no cake cutting. There was a doughnut eat off instead of cake and bloody hell those doughnuts were gooooddddddddd.
After the first dance the floor lit up and things got crazy. The band who played were amazing and we are adding these guys to our recommended list. A sweaty, full dance floor with a blow up doll being thrown around finished the wedding perfectly.
Jen + Ben, we love you both. We miss the emails, Instagram chats and we want this to continue! You are both amazing and we love these images. ‘It’s all shits and giggles’
