Veronica and Alex’s Newburgh Priory Wedding was held back in July on a very sunny day.
We first met V+A over 2 years ago when we were exhibiting at a Wedding Fayre at The Hawkhills Wedding Venue just outside of York. When they walked into the room we know that they were our kind of couple, Veronica in a vintage coat and Alex looking cool in his Trilby. Fast forward past their Love Shoot which we enjoyed immensely strolling the Yorkshire Countryside and we arrived at their wedding day
Alex wore tweed with a great hat. Veronica wore two dresses, both vintage. V+A work in performing arts and wanted that to be a big part of their wedding day. From performances during the ceremony, to friends chipping in and performing during the evening antics it really was an inspiring and fun wedding to shoot. The performance of the day had to go to Alex when instead of doing a speech he decided to sing a song he had written for Veronica. It went down a storm with the guests as they waved their arms to the song whilst Veronica was reduced to tears.
Newburgh Priory looked awesome decked out in oodles and oodles of awesome decorations collected by V+A to make the traditional canvas pole Marquee look like a 1920’s speakeasy and all the guests got into the theme of things by dressing from the era too.
We can’t explain how incredible Veronica + Alex’s wedding was but hopefully the pictures will go some way to showing it.
We love these two…
